For New York Medicaid recipients that Esco Drug Company Inc services, we make several lines of communication available unique to those identified in our Notice of Privacy Practice. Medicaid recipients, and any Affected Individual, can file a written complaint to the pharmacy’s Privacy officer, mail an anonymous letter to the pharmacy (to the attention of the Compliance Office) or place a phone call to the Privacy Officer (and request anonymity if known). Whether or not requested, a person who reports compliance issues can expect that their communication will be kept confidential. The pharmacy also provides Medicaid recipients the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General Hotline for reporting suspected Fraud, Waste and Abuse using the contact listed below. The pharmacy will make available on its website, information concerning its compliance program, including its standards of conduct, or if the pharmacy does not host a website, this information should be posted in the pharmacy where it’s accessible to Medicaid recipients. Proof of posting shall be maintained. Medicaid recipients, or any Affected Individual, who report suspicious activity, and choose not to be anonymous, will be protected from retaliation or intimidation.
